Interior Cut to Size
Victoria is no longer a mere transportation hub for a food, shopping and designer destination. At the heart of this transformation is bustling Victoria Street, where futuristic developments such as Cardinal Place are attracting ever more businesses and retailers to the area. As a result, the number of residential projects has increased, and the luxury gate has contributed to this growth.
Designed by Lynch Architects, its contemporary exterior is in keeping with the locale’s new look, while its interiors, by Millier, evoke its rich history. Millier’s team was responsible for the apartments’ layouts and finishes, partner Helen Westlake says ‘We opted for natural materials and a rich palette of neutrals to keep it timeless,’. ‘We wanted the fixtures and fittings to be subtle yet strong, so buyers wouldn’t feel the need to replace it. To do this, we used texture wherever possible, choosing timber grain for the doors and a tactile leather effect for the stonework.’
LSI Stone is proud to have been part of this great project, contributing with products of three types of Portuguese limestone: Moca cream fine grain; Moleanos Blue Light Water and Moleanos Shelly. The neutral color of the three types of limestone along with the quality and precision in the finishes were decisive to satisfy the requirements of the architects. This material has made it possible to create unique and elegant bathing areas that will certainly leave the inhabitants of the kings gate unbroken.
